A wrongful termination lawsuit can be filed by anybody in any industry. If people feel they were terminated for no good reason, they have the right to move forward in this direction. This holds true even in Hollywood, as we have seen from Nicollette Sheridan.

Many of our Indiana readers fell in love with the television series Desperate Housewives. From 2004 – 2012, it was one of the best shows on television. However, it was not without its issues.

Nicollette Sheridan previously claimed that she was fired from her job on the show after complaining about being hit by the creator of the series, Marc Cherry. She was recently granted a new trial in an attempt to once again settle her $20 million wrongful termination suit.

In 2012, the initial case ended in a mistrial. Fortunately for Sheridan, a judge recently ruled that she could bring her lawsuit back to the court. In the first trial, jurors were deadlocked at 8-4 in favor of the famous actress.

This sort of wrongful termination lawsuit is sure to attract a lot of attention, being as Nicollette Sheridan is involved. On top of this, the $20 million associated with the claim is also a large number, even when considering how much top Hollywood stars earn.

The industry does not matter. If somebody feels he or she has been wrongfully terminated, it is important to do whatever it takes to right this wrong. Hiring an attorney is often the first step that people take, ensuring that they have legal help on their side.
